Who we are
HatePassword is a project from Grassrootech, built by a small team: Max, Stephen, and Victor. Max Li is the founder of Grassrootech (you can find out about it here: https://grassrootech.com), a company focused on AI-powered website creation and promotion, and AI consulting for small businesses. He positions the company around a "grassroots" philosophy: understanding the people it serves and solving real problems rather than manufactured demands. His background includes experience at IBM Research and Union University, and he presents his work as bridging advanced research and practical industry application. Stephen and Victor are the students who build and maintain HatePassword, handling the app's front-end, full-stack, and security work.
Why we built it
Too many password apps trade privacy for growth. We wanted a vault that keeps your data yours: one built on zero-knowledge encryption, with a clean interface and no interest in reading what you store. So we built one.
What we care about

Our promise
Your data is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers, and your master password never leaves your device. We do not sell your personal information, and we use external services only for authentication and secure storage. You can read the details in our Privacy Policy.
