1. Service overview

HatePassword provides a password management service for storing and organizing credentials securely. The service is offered as-is. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use HatePassword. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we may remove it.

3. Account responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, including your master password, secure. Because of how our encryption works, we cannot recover your master password or your encrypted data if you lose access to your account. You accept this as a condition of using the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service for illegal activity, unauthorized access, or any conduct that disrupts the integrity or availability of the platform. You are responsible for the information you store and for ensuring you have the right to store it.

5. Your data and encryption

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how your vault is encrypted. Your device encrypts your vault contents before they reach our servers, and we cannot read the original contents.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HatePassword and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. When an account is deleted, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
